While women’s hormonal health is my core specialism, I also treat a wide range of general health conditions. Many patients come initially for fertility or menopause support and find acupuncture so effective that they continue for other issues — or refer family members and friends.
If you’re not sure whether acupuncture can help with your condition, get in touch. I’ll always be honest with you.
Pain – Acupuncture is one of the most well-researched therapies for pain. NICE (the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) recommends acupuncture for chronic primary pain. I treat:
If you’re dealing with any of these issues, acupuncture could be an effective, natural treatment option. Contact me to book a consultation and discover how acupuncture can support your journey to better health and well-being.
How quickly does acupuncture work for back pain? Many patients notice improvement within two to four sessions. For acute conditions, results can be faster. For chronic or long-standing pain, a course of six to eight sessions is typical, with monthly maintenance for ongoing conditions.
Does acupuncture help with anxiety? Yes. Acupuncture activates the parasympathetic nervous system — the body’s rest-and-restore state — which directly reduces anxiety. Many patients notice a significant shift in anxiety levels after their first session, with the effect building over a course of treatment.
Can acupuncture help with hay fever? Yes, and it’s particularly effective when started before the hay fever season begins. Many of my patients see dramatic improvements — reduced symptoms without the drowsiness of antihistamines.
Is acupuncture on the NHS? Currently NICE recommends acupuncture for chronic primary pain. Availability on the NHS is limited, but as a BAcC-registered practitioner, my treatments may be covered by private health insurance. Check your policy before booking.
Do you treat men? Yes. While women’s health is my specialism, I treat men for pain, stress, sports injuries, general health, and male fertility support.
How long are appointments? Your first appointment is 60–75 minutes including consultation. Follow-up sessions are 45–60 minutes.
