No — while I have a special interest and advanced training in fertility and women’s health acupuncture, I also treat a wide range of other conditions for women, men and children.
These include pain management, headaches, migraines, sciatica, musculoskeletal issues, stress, anxiety, insomnia, digestive concerns, hay fever, TMJ dysfunction and general wellbeing support.
Every treatment is tailored to the individual, with the aim of supporting both physical and emotional health in a calm and restorative environment.
Our initial consultation will be 60 minutes and will include a treatment. All follow-up treatments will be 45-60 minutes.
Some of the questions I will ask include details about your menstrual history, sleep and gastro health. I will ask about any minor or major illnesses, your daily physical and emotional health and your family medical history.
As part of Traditional Chinese Medicine diagnostic tools, I will look at your tongue, take your pulse and possibly palpate your abdomen.
I want your treatment to feel like a calm and restorative experience from the moment you arrive. You’ll relax on a heated treatment couch with soothing music while I carefully select acupuncture points tailored specifically to your individual needs and concerns.
Once the needles are in place, you can simply rest and unwind for 20–30 minutes, allowing your body and nervous system time to relax, reset and restore.
During this session, we take a deep dive into your health and fertility:
After your consultation, you’ll receive a bespoke treatment plan that includes:
Why Choose Me?
Fertility journeys can often feel overwhelming, confusing and emotionally exhausting — especially when patients are told everything appears “normal” but still aren’t getting answers.
Alongside traditional acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, I combine extensive postgraduate fertility training with an understanding of modern fertility testing, investigations and treatment pathways.
Having also been through my own fertility journey, I understand first-hand the emotional impact that trying to conceive, fertility treatment and unanswered questions can have. This personal experience allows me to support patients not only professionally, but with genuine empathy, compassion and understanding.
I hold an advanced fertility acupuncture qualification and remain committed to continual professional development, undertaking regular specialist training each year to ensure my knowledge stays current and evidence-informed.
I am also part of The Fertility Suite — a collaborative community of experienced fertility practitioners who work together to discuss complex cases, share knowledge and support one another. This means patients benefit not only from my own experience, but from the collective insight and expertise of a wider fertility-focused professional network.
My approach goes beyond simply providing acupuncture treatment. I help patients navigate the often complex fertility and IVF journey with clarity, guidance and support, including:
identifying possible missing investigations
suggesting additional testing not routinely offered
supporting patients through IVF and assisted conception
referring to trusted consultants, clinics and specialist scanners where appropriate
helping patients better understand their fertility options
For many patients, having someone experienced to guide and support them through this process can make an enormous difference emotionally as well as physically.
Above all, I aim to provide a calm, supportive and reassuring space where patients feel listened to, informed and cared for throughout their journey.
Every patient is different and as such may respond differently to treatment. In my experience, most patients I see start feeling the results after 1-3 treatments. Their symptoms may not have disappeared completely but the severity of their pain is noticeably decreased, their sleeping is improved as has their mental health. With each treatment they feel better and better.
If they have an acute issue, such as a recent injury or illness, this may require a more aggressive treatment with 1-2 weekly sessions. A chronic, more entrenched condition may require treatments for 2-4 months. This can then reduce to ever couple of months as a maintenance program of treatment is in place or as and when the issue resurfaces.
For fertility issues, I recommend starting weekly or fortnightly acupuncture sessions 3 months before starting to conceive or starting IVF. This is because follicles, that release the eggs, take 90 days to mature until they are ready for ovulation. This time allows us to influence the environment of the dividing eggs, which will affect their quality. For women with complex or especially challenging health situations, 6 months would be even better.
During the IVF process we may need to up sessions to twice a week if required.
I recommend the following guideline for patients undergoing IVF:
Acupuncture needles are much finer than needles used for injections and blood tests. Some needles are even as fine as a human hair. When the needle is inserted, you may feel a tingling sensation or dull ache. Needle insertion should not be painful, but if you are in discomfort, I will remove or reposition the needle. I also use easy breathing exercises with my patients during needle insertion. This is extremely effective in keeping relaxed and making the experience pain free.
